  • Essay / ANimal Farm - 640

The revolution had begun and it was perfect at first with Snowball in charge until everything turned around and got worse. Most of the Old Major's seven commandments had all been modified. "No animal should sleep in a bed" eventually became "No animal should sleep in a bed with sheets", "No animal should drink alcohol" was now "No animal should drink alcohol with excess", "No animal should kill anyone". other animal” was replaced by “No animal shall kill another animal without reason”, and finally “All animals are equal” now becomes “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others”. Napoleon began to transform into a human and trade with them. Animalism was supposed to be equal for all animals and life was supposed to be easier, but Napoleon had changed everything. There are many things that Orwell portrayed in the movie Animal Farm. He uses personification by making animals do many things that humans like to speak, write, read and many more. In her film, you may notice that she is compared to the Russian Revolution. There are many characters in the movie like Old Major, Mr. Jones, Snowball, Napoleon and Squealer; Yet there are many events and ideas that happened in the film that are comparable to the Russian Revolution. Old Major in the film is exactly like Karl Marx in the Russian Revolution. Old Major is the father of animalism and created the Seven Commandments. Animalism is equality between all animals without classes, just like communism of which Karl Marx is the father. Communism is a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, with effective ownership vested in the community as a whole or the state (Dictionary 1). One last thing they have in common is that...... middle of paper...... beginning of the movie when they attacked the humans and "knocked down" Mr. Jones. This is exactly like the October Revolution, during which Tsar Nicholas II was overthrown. There was also The Battle of the Windmill. In this battle, humans attacked the animals in an attempt to regain power; of course, they had failed, just like in the Battle of Stalingrad during the Russian Revolution. In this battle, there was an invasion of Russia (the farm) by Nazi forces (the humans). As you can see, the movie Animal Farm featured many comparisons between the characters and the events of the Russian Revolution. Between these revolutions, they were both intended to improve life or resolve problems with the Tsar/Mr. Jones. All leaders ended up being worse and made Tsar/Mr. Jones is better looking than the new leaders. In the end, the enemies had revolted and life finally became better.Works CitedDictionary.com
