The Management ProblemManaging nurses in healthcare organizations can be a difficult task due to the many scenarios that need to be addressed for the entire system to function properly . There are many parts to the system, but none are more important than the people who work every shift to provide quality patient care: nurses and nursing assistants. A major problem for nurse management occurs when the operation is operating with limited staff. Inadequate staffing, whether due to nursing shortages, hiring freezes, or interventions, can be a difficult obstacle for nurse managers to overcome due to the increased stress nurses experience in having to carry out a heavy workload. Possible causes of this problem include difficult working conditions and negative attitudes towards the organization - problems which could be caused by a lack of staff, in turn creating a snowball effect. The problem occurs on a health care unit managed by a nurse supervisor who guides nurses (LPNs and RNs) and certified nursing assistants (CNAs) while providing patient care, shift after shift. The problem occurs due to the possibility of interruption of work due to sick leave, the inability of managers to resolve the cause of a staff shortage problem or the inability of the organization to recruit new employees and retain current employees. In an ideal situation many events should take place for a healthy nursing and nursing assistant population, but in staffing shortage situations these areas need improvement. The recruiting process must improve its efficiency because it is the most important link in a successful healthcare operation, which involves finding the most positive, motivated and talented workers available. Management must create a positive team ...... middle of paper ......ment. Nurse burnout, which leads to turnover, is a major contributor to the problem of staffing shortages, a problem that can be addressed by nursing leadership. Management training should be provided to help nursing supervisors resolve problems in a health care unit by alleviating the stress of nurses and nursing assistants through fair and impartial treatment and the creation of an atmosphere of positive team building desired by employees. Use a management framework to work through management. Problems are a useful tool for understanding the problem through research and developing a way to solve the problem using research. Working step by step within the framework is also a good way to develop original ideas. Formulate new ideas and solve problems using a framework tool presents information in a way that makes it easy to access and present to other colleagues who might find the information useful..
