Essay / Analyzing Woolf's views on wealth and a room of one's own...
Virginia Woolf's inspiring work attempts to address many issues surrounding women's work. It takes into consideration comparisons between the privileges of women and men. The greatest advantages of man over woman would be his chances and opportunities to succeed and the possibility of expressing himself. Woolf's view that wealth and space of one's own are necessary to achieve intellectual freedom is incorrect and misleading because it does not take into consideration education, good self-esteem, access to all resources and the absence of domestic obstacles. Woolf's main argument that wealth and a room of one's own are necessary to become a good writer is misleading because it does not take into consideration education, having good self-esteem, access to all resources, not having domestic hindrances. Writing is like a horse, you can lead it to the river but you can't make it drink the water. Wealth can only take you to the river, education, having good self-esteem, access to all resources, not having domestic obstacles is what can use wealth and drink water . Therefore, education, good self-esteem, access to all resources, not having domestic obstacles including wealth are essential for a writer, especially a woman writer , flourishes..
