    How Sleep Can Save Your LifeWithout sleep, humans would have a harder time than a teenager in high school. Sleep is a fundamental part of human life. Sleep helps the human body stay in homeostasis or maintain stability. High school students are notorious for falling asleep in class, right? In fact, teenagers have different sleep schedules than other adults. In fact, if groups are grouped by age, not all groups receive the amount of sleep they should receive. But there are ways to improve your sleep schedule. People who do not get enough sleep and do not want to fall victim to the ailments associated with lack of sleep must follow these rules. Sleep is one of the most important parts of our lives and we need to understand how to get a good amount of it. Sleep is a crucial element in maintaining homeostasis in the human body. According to WebMD, "Not getting enough sleep can have many effects, such as: accidents, reduced intellectual abilities, health problems, lack of libido, depression, skin aging, forgetfulness, weight, an increase in the risk of death and impair judgment. Basically what WebMD is saying is that not getting enough sleep can have small effects, like weight gain, or increase the risk of death. However, getting enough sleep is beneficial for the health of the human body. The NIH suggests that “getting enough quality sleep at the right times can help protect mental and physical health, quality of life, and safety.” The importance of this is that a good night's sleep is beneficial to human health. Therefore, since it is now known that sleep is beneficial for human health, it is time to understand how much sleep everyone needs.
