Essay / Violence against women - 1724
More than a thousand women are killed each year around the world by men. Violence committed against women is getting worse. Men have no compassion and kill women as if they were worthless animals. In the city of Juarez, women are kidnapped and then killed by men. The bodies are found far from towns where no one can find them. Fortunately, women are now protected by laws that state that no type of violence can be committed against women. Some of the worst violence against women is currently occurring in Juarez, Mexico. Women are afraid to go out because they know a man might attack them. First rape her, then kill her, and leave her there in the middle of nowhere. Police are searching for the killers who continue to kill women and girls. They continue to run from the police, and the women who were not killed and who fled from the man who raped them do not have the courage to go to the police and tell them who is the one who is doing all this damage. They're afraid that if they say anything, the man who did all this will try to kill her before going to prison. The city of Juarez is on the border of Mexico and El Paso, Texas. More than 300 women were tortured to death, raped and then killed, suffocated, and many other things that men did to them to make them suffer. Since 1993, women have been murdered by cruel men. The women who suffered from this were found to be poor and innocent and lived far from the city, with students also being victims. The female victims are aged between 5 and 35. Some of them are women who emigrated from other countries in search of a better life in Juarez. Most of the women found dead were older children... middle of log... including headaches, back pain, abdominal pain, fibromyalgia, gastrointestinal disorders, limited mobility and poor general health” (“Violence against women”, 2009). The main thing is the deaths, which can be suicides, or due to unsafe abortions, or even committed by men. In conclusion, women all over the world have to suffer to become stronger. Women who suffer or have suffered violence must be strong and defend themselves. They need to know that they have people they can count on. If the abuser tells you that if you say something he will kill you or one of your family members, you should not believe him. They won't do anything, they just say it to scare you. Know that there are laws that protect women from all types of violence. There are many things women can do to prevent this from happening. Be strong and tell someone what you're going through.
