Imagine that you are in a different world from Earth, that time is different, and that all living things around you can speak. In this world you will experience the most incredible adventure you can think of. This is exactly what happens in the novel The Silver Chair. It's action-packed and keeps you wanting to read all the way through. The author of the novel The Silver Chair is CS Lewis. The best-known novels written by CS Lewis are The Chronicles of Narnia, consisting of seven novels. This story takes place in the present day. The Narnia adventure these children experience lasts about 12 days, but on earth it's like you never left because the weather is different in Narnia. The main characters in this story are: Jill Pole, Eustace Scrubb, Puddleglum, Aslan, Prince Rilian and the Queen of Underland. Jill Pole is a stupid girl who gets bullied at the Experiment House and meets an unpopular boy named Eustace Scrubb, and the two travel to the magical world of Narnia. Here they meet Aslan, Lord of All the Wood and son of the Emperor Overseas. Aslan is the Lion, the Great Lion. He comes and goes when he wants; he comes to help guide Jill and Eustace on their great adventure. They also receive help in their travels from a Marsh-wiggle named Puddleglum, who helps guide the children as they are unfamiliar with this known world. Prince Rilian disappeared while riding his horse in the woods about 10 years ago. The Queen of Underland is an evil witch who later becomes the "White Witch" and, as usual, is up to no good. This story begins at the children's school, otherwise called The Experiment House, where Jill and Eustace meet. . They were both unpopular kids who were hiding behind the other kids' gym when they remembered the door in the wall surrounding the school. Even though the door is usually locked, they were hoping it would be opened, and it was. They rushed past only to discover they were in a completely different place. Looking around, Eustace realizes that they are in Narnia. When they look over a cliff, Eustace and his stupid bravery fall and are knocked to earth by the biggest lion Jill has ever seen..
