The Six Sigma method mainly focuses on reducing variations in the process that occurs in any business, thereby achieving a level higher customer satisfaction. There are two main six sigma approaches that can be incorporated into this cause. These are DMAIC (Define Measure Analysis Improvement Control) and DMADV (Define Measure Analysis Design Verify) [3]. The author of this article primarily focuses on the DMADV approach to designing a new dormitory concept at the University of Miami, and this aims to provide a new roadmap for conducting a design for a six sigma project. [1]The main reason to consider DMADV is that it involves operations of innovating new ideas and improving the existing idea or approach in any design. Additionally, it helps in identifying threats that arise from competition from other companies in the field. Since there would always be increased competition due to the growth of a number of organizations, every player must implement these Six Sigma methods to improve their business model and achieve success. The major problem facing the University of Miami in the allocation process The author discussed in this article the addition of new student dormitories due to the sudden increase in school enrollment and several policy changes in management. This policy includes making it mandatory for new first-year students to stay in the dormitories. These problems are solved by the administration by implementing the DMADV approach of Six Sigma.
