Eragon is a farm boy who lives in a village in a country known as Alagaƫsia. One day, while hunting, he heard an explosion in the woods. When he leaves to find out what happened, he finds a blue stone in the middle of the wreckage. He can sell it for food, then he takes it home. Back at the farm, he tells his uncle Garrow (who has raised him since he was a child) and his cousin Roran what he found. Then, one night, the stone makes a noise. Then all of a sudden, a dragon appears. When he touches the dragon, Eragon comes with a lot of energy. He seems to have developed a relationship with him, and he has a white scar on his palm to show it. Eragon ends up hiding the dragon in the woods, sneaking out to bond with it as the creature grows bigger and bigger. As time goes by, their bond grows more and more and Eragon names the dragon Saphira. But trouble is coming to town. Two people come to ask about the stone, so Saphira grabs Eragon and they quickly fly out of town. When they come back, it's still bad news. Eragon's house was destroyed and the Uncle Garrow event...
