The objective of this article is to analyze the personal history and behaviors of José María Velasco Ibarra, one of the greatest political leaders in the history of Ecuador. Throughout Ecuador's history, a large number of sitting presidents have not completed their presidential terms. While some presidents succeed in carrying out their presidency, many do not. This article focuses on Ecuadorian President José Maria Velasco Ibarra and his characteristics as a leader analyzing his personal history, traits, skills and behaviors.
