Essay / History of drones and how they could reshape modernity...
“The government's targeted killing of three American citizens in two drone strikes, both in Yemen, far from any zone of armed conflict. » (“Targeted killings”). Drones or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are the technology that has taken warfare and combat to a whole new level. It is believed that this technology will reduce the use of troops and loss of life in the wars taking place today. Can this same technology be considered dangerous? Or are side effects something that can simply be seen as a small cost for something better? Drones demonstrate a growth in technological advances, and also in the world. Even though this technology is brilliant, it poses a threat to people. Drones and drones are remote-controlled vehicles that do not need a pilot, but they use a signal from a machine controlled by someone. Although this was not always the case for drones, the technology in its primitive stage was available in the late 1800s. It was seen during the Civil War in the form of hot air balloons and both the North and the South had a way to create these machines. They contained a timed mechanism which released an explosive once the time had elapsed, this seemed very clever, but at the time it was not very effective. Years passed and the Wright brothers created the airplane in the early 1900s, and they needed pilots. The concept of aircraft reached the next level when, in the 1930s, the British Royal Navy created one of the first drones. This particular drone was known as “The Queen Bee”. This particular model was driven by what is said to be a radio signal. Much later, drones became much more complex, as years of technological advancements were added to older models produced in the late 1900s. Today,...... middle of paper.... .. we. Aclu.org. Internet.
