Even with the Equal Pay Act of 1963, it is not very effective and does not benefit women in the workforce. Some studies show that women can do the same job as men, or even better. More and more women are also obtaining more diplomas than men and showing themselves to be more dedicated in this professional field. There are also large companies led by female CEOs. So what should America do to help American women achieve equal pay? America must push the Senate to vote for the Paycheck Fairness Act to make equal pay for women a reality. Without this bill, American women will continue to work hard for less pay than American women.
