In chapters 18-25, Jane's interactions began to become more revealed. Once she meets Mr. Rochester's guests, they show her how they feel about him. In Chapter 18, Jane meets Mr. Rochester's guests while he is traveling and talks about never returning again. Now that Mr. Rochester had left Thornfield for a while, his guests were staying at his home with Jane, Blanche, Grace Poole, the staff and Mrs. Fairfax. As chapter 18 begins to reach its climax, with how Jane feels about the relationship between Mr. Rochester and Blanche Ingram. As she begins to notice how Blanche and Mr. Rochester interact, she begins to express her feelings. She says: "I told you, reader, that I had learned to love Mr. Rochester, and that I could no longer unlove myself now, simply because I found that he had ceased to notice me, because I I saw all the attention appropriate to a great lady. » (page 188).
