Generalized is excessive or unrealistic worry about life over small things. They are worried, but they are unable to say what worries them (Rathus, 2010). Some causes may be related to a family history of anxiety, recent or prolonged exposure to stressful situations, including personal or family illnesses, excessive caffeine or tobacco consumption, which can worsen existing anxiety, as well as childhood abuse. Symptoms vary from difficulty concentrating, difficulty sleeping, irritability, fatigue and exhaustion, muscle tension, repeated stomach upset or diarrhea, sweaty palms, tremors, rapid heartbeat and neurological (Healthline, 2017). An example from my life was when I was driving home from a volleyball game and I got injured during the game and I was in pain, tears were streaming down my face, then I started thinking after my injury and I started crying like crazy and hyperventilating and shaking. I had no choice but to stop until I stopped hyperventilating and was able to drive. It was a very scary moment because I had no control over my body. Another example is when I get overwhelmed with school work, I panic. I start to hyperventilate, my hands start to shake, my palms get sweaty and my heart beats faster. One way to deal with this is to try to do things that help calm my nerves, like listening to music, taking a quick shower, etc. It really helps me because it calms me down and
