Essay / The Fast Food Industry - 1650
The dagger of the people is still twisting and changing the world of fast food. Fast food itself has always evolved due to social, economic and health concerns. To begin, I will cover the origins of fast food, followed by a brief discussion of McDonalds as well as Burger King. This will be accompanied by a brief discussion of Taco Bell, our latest topic covering healthier fast food options. The origins of the fast food "machine of death": The gears of the machines were forged by the company known as Horn and Hardarts, based on the needs of the American population in 1902 to provide service and fast and cheap food to the hungry masses. who craved food with unspeakable hunger in the land of New York. Meals cost about three nickels which were inserted into a slot, thus opening a trapdoor through which the meal was obtained and then consumed by the feasting customer. Pop culture heavily influenced the popularity of self-serve vending machines, and in 1932, "Face the Music", a musical comedy featuring Irving Birlin's gong "Let's Have Another Cup of Coffee" made the praised and exalted the automaton. Fast Food Gadgets: Gadgets in the fast food industry are normally a cross between socio-economic and bodybuilding trends; the first being created by the need to attract consumers into the proverbial funnel and make them want to consume only your product. Examples of this could be retro style restaurants or themed environments where the theme could be a children's theme with brightly colored and upbeat images. It is almost, if not always, an attempt to captivate the minds of a target audience, thereby convincing them that they are the only valid provider of proper livelihood. Take for example McDonald's which employs a semi-...... middle of paper......a meal containing a toy prize must be accompanied by fruit. I believe that the multi-billion dollar McDonald's empire will not take this step lightly and may eventually take drastic measures to impose its stranglehold on the Happy Meal children. Given McDonald's exuberant wealth and California's poor financial situation; I wouldn't be at all surprised if McDonald's bought out the state of California, acquiring new wealth (who knows, they might go so far as to rename the state Mcfornia.)
