The machine can use stored information, either calculations and/or inputs, to perform actions that avoid errors or undesirable results. For example, in an article about a machine heading toward the exit of a maze, the machine was able to reach the end of the maze through the process of elimination or trial and error for possible paths. Moreover, he was able to reach the goal in another attempt without any errors using the information collected in the first attempt. The importance of this article is that it shows how machines use prior information to become more efficient in producing results (Ross, 1938). The implications of my answer to whether machines can think like humans might concern how morality would affect machines or whether free will is present in machines. With the concept of morality, machines would make objective judgments about controversial ideas that might differ from how humans would judge ideas, even though machines can do so in the same way as humans. For example, the logical piano could logically conclude, from a given set of premises, that good people can kill babies is morally right because it is logical.
