Essay / Earth's Natural Energy Sources - 1456
INTRODUCTIONRenewable energy is energy produced from natural resources such as wind, sunlight, rain, tides and geothermal heat, which can be reused or reconstituted. Natural energies (renewable energies) have their advantages and disadvantages. Dependence on fossil fuels is reduced by renewable energy sources. Although using natural sources has many advantages over using fossil fuels, the investment cost may be too high for some people. In this project, I will mainly focus on natural energy sources and their advantages and disadvantages. .EXAMPLES OF NATURAL ENERGY SOURCESWINDEverything that has motion is said to have kinetic energy, in which case wind will definitely be considered a type of energy. Wind is an indirect form of solar energy. Of the untold amount of solar energy reaching Earth, about one to three percent is converted to wind energy. The temperature difference that occurs when the sun heats different parts of the air at different rates gives rise to wind. The rise of warmer air and the sinking of colder air lead to wind, respectively. Energy from the sun working with the earth's surfaces creates the winds and as long as the sun is up there, the wind is a renewable energy source. ADVANTAGES OF WIND ENERGY To produce With wind energy, we do not need to burn fossil fuels, which means there will be no harassment to the environment. Wind energy is therefore environmentally friendly. Wind energy, which is a permanent energy, does not generate pollution. It reduces gas emissions into the environment. No matter how much wind energy we use, it will be used even more tomorrow, because wind is a renewable and sustainable resource. Wind tu...... middle of paper ......me to know the vacant sources of natural energy sources of the earth and their advantages and disadvantages. What I realized is that if we weigh the pros and cons of these sources, the side that would benefit from the pros would far outweigh the cons. However, what I didn't understand is why people don't choose these natural, renewable sources over fossil fuels. We all need to know the usefulness of these sources, take certain steps and try to use them. Certainly, it would help us reduce so many of the environmental problems we currently face! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renewable_energy http://www.clean-energy-ideas.com/http://www.childrensuniversity.manchester.ac.uk/interactives/science/energy/discovermore/advantages. pdf
