In a newspaper article written by Stan Bippus, he informs the reader: “Grades given to the bottom 80 percent of a school's students are inaccurate and filled with personal beliefs and opinions of the teachers give the grades. (proquest.com, Journal 2). Because of these biases within the system, students suffer at the hands of the people who are supposed to teach them. At this point, the education system becomes one that is flawed in principle and nature, all because a student's success relies on a letter put on paper. Also in the case of this journal entry, author Bippus seems to believe that this is not a well-run system at all due to the falsified grades given by these teachers and professors. For this reason, students feel a lack of respect for the education system and lose interest in it.
