Essay / Importance of Human Carrying Capacity - 848
Carrying capacity is defined as the number of organisms that can survive sustainably in a given region without destroying resources. There are many limiting factors, such as shelter, abundance of food and water, predation, and many different factors can constitute the constraint that will determine human carrying capacity. Human carrying capacity is the number of people who can live on earth without destroying its future. Given Earth's rapid population growth and our current inability to meet the basic needs of most of the world's population, human carrying capacity has become a major concern. Earth could accommodate many more people living a simple country lifestyle than living in an American suburb. A degree that has been developed to assess the carrying capacity on Earth is the ecological footprint, which shows the individual share of each person. Human carrying capacity and sustainable development can be closely linked as they refer to the need to live off interest rather than capital. If we destroy forests faster than they can grow back, then we must increase agriculture until it drains soil fertility and wastes non-renewable resources, and we can increase the number of people who can live on Earth. but we are also reducing the capacity to support humans in the future. The development of the West was partly the result of the decline of certain non-renewable resources and the importation of cheap products. It is difficult to estimate the Earth's total carrying capacity since available technology, current standards of living, and resource use differ among regions. the world. Currently, the richest fifth of the world's population uses about four-fifths of the world's available resources, so the remaining population...... middle of paper ......p is changing the world. But if I had to choose one factor, I would say imposing a restriction on resources per country to help lower the standard of certain lifestyles in order to help raise the standard of others. If we were to start this period of restriction of certain resources in January 2014, then the target for everything to be rebalanced would be around December 2014. I would give this trial about a year in order to resolve any problems or difficulties if necessary, to bring the countries to get used to the new restrictions, and also to see how each country reacts to these restrictions in all seasons and changes. This is just one way to try to control this problem, as there are many other ways to deal with other limiting factors. The main goal is to get the population to understand and adapt to survive with less instead of more..
