    Competitive individuals align with the distributive negotiation process, which results in win-lose outcomes. A competitive individual may enter into conflict, tends to increase animosity and distrust between parties and is generally seen as destructive and intentional sabotage leading to a defensive state towards others in the workplace. While the cooperative approach aligns with the process of interest-based or integrative negotiation, which leads parties to seek win-win solutions. Cooperative individuals will negotiate a solution to the problem that develops better relationships and trust, and ultimately provides mutually beneficial options for the task. This trait is good in the workplace, but it doesn't work very well in a work environment that is difficult to work in.
