  • Essay / The right to have a gun because of the power of fear

    Everyone wants their voice to be heard, but to be heard it takes power. Power is control. Whoever has the most power becomes the speaker. We live in an economic society where whoever has the most money gets the microphone. To gain power, the National Rifle Association (NRA) frightens some Americans by focusing its messaging on getting them to side with them and raising large sums of money to exploit local politics. The NRA scares Americans by threatening them with the fear that the government wants the police to be its protection, not the guns. It seems our government is reorganizing our rights so that a police force protects us instead of us, the people, protecting ourselves, our homes and our property. The NRA is using the Second Amendment that our Founding Fathers gave us and Money to monopolize the gun control debate. In every debate with this organization, they always control Americans with the Second Amendment right. This tactic encourages gun owners and hunters to understand that guns are our protection and should be a necessity in every American home. Have a gun...
