A boy named Barry Loukaitis, 14, experiences physical and verbal abuse at school, including incidents in which a student held back while Another student urinated on him. So on February 2, 1996, Loukaitis brought a revolver, a pistol and a handgun to Frontier Middle School in Moses Lake, Washington. Another boy named Scott Pennington, who exists at the age of 17, struggles with teasing for his stutter, name-calling and physical assault. On January 18, 1993, Scott entered his English class with a gun. Nicholas Elliott, who exists at the age of 16, struggles with bullying because of his skin color. Elliott therefore opened fire on teachers and students at Atlantic Shores Christian School in Virginia Beach on December 16, 1988. All of these teenagers were charged with life sentences (Kuykendall 18-20). No one understands why one victim picks up a gun and goes to school while other victims of bullying shrug their shoulders.
