In the field of human resources, there are many factors to consider when planning recruitment in the health and social care sector. As an HR intern at St Jude Nursing Home, factors to consider when planning are: business goals, financial strategies, and economic changes. Business objectives, for example, this company wants to provide good quality services to its customers, but some problems within the company do not allow this to happen. There is a long list of problems within the company, including: low wages, long working hours, insufficient benefits, poor working conditions and also staff recruitment based on favoritism. All of these issues can have a major effect on employees and their motivation at work. The worst problem they face in the nursing home is that the management team creates a negative atmosphere for the employees. Therefore, as a new HR manager, these are one of the first issues to resolve in order to fully realize the company's corporate goals. The financial aspect is also an element to take into account when planning recruitment within a company. Training should also be taken into consideration as it requires a significant amount of money within the budget set for recruitment. Due to complaints about the quality of care provided and the lack of knowledge among some employees, one would think that this would be very beneficial to employees. Timing is also important, because employees who are considered unable to do their jobs well enough should and will be replaced.
