It is clear from “The Biology of Learning” that learning, the ability to acquire knowledge, is an ongoing process. As we know, humans are far from perfect, even though many of us are constantly afraid of failure. However, making mistakes is part of the learning process that we must learn to manage. Unfortunately, as humans we do not have the skill to read minds, so no one will know what you want if you do not insinuate your thoughts and opinions, and we must recognize that nothing will change in unless you take the initiative to propose a change. This is why it is crucial to develop effective communication skills in life, not only to be heard and understood, but also to understand what others are trying to convey. Second, the next steps involve understanding the material, remembering and storing the information, rather than procrastinating and cramming new material the night before an exam. Additionally, the focus of this article suggests the essential skills for learning, which I believe follow the order of motivation, communication, understanding and then memorization, in addition to listening to contributions of others. According to my understanding, motivation is the desire that drives a person to do certain things to achieve a certain goal. Motivation in my life plays an important role, as it does for many of my peers. One thing we all have in common as students is that we strive to get an education. University is an integral part and a stepping stone to the future. In my case, college serves several different purposes. On the one hand, Santa Monica College is a diverse campus with a multitude of different cultures and backgrounds. I believe that making new friends, building relationships and networking can be helpful in the future, like... in the middle of writing ......e for exams. In addition to these study methods, I find it very helpful to start reviewing my notes and studying at least a few weeks in advance. Although it can be difficult at times, I find it crucial to be engaged and a good listener to retain as much information as possible and ask questions when necessary. After taking notes in class, I like to retype my notes, paraphrase words to my understanding, and highlight key points. Additionally, I create flashcards of key terms and try to review them whenever I have time between classes. Also, usually when I'm reviewing my notes, I like to go to my room and recite my notes out loud. That said, I feel like everyone has a different learning style, whether it's seeing, hearing, or doing. Understanding your learning style can really maximize your study time by using methods tailored to your strengths..
