  • Essay / Interaction with the ecosystem - 540

Humans interact with the ecosystem in every way imaginable. We humans have a huge impact on Earth's biodiversity, whether positive or negative. Negative human interactions People are responsible for polluting the Earth, thereby disrupting the water cycle and carbon cycle in the biosphere. The water cycle is the process by which Earth's water is collected, purified and redistributed (evaporation, condensation and precipitation). Water pollutants, like chemicals from factories, drift into bodies of water. When this happens, chemicals can rise into the atmosphere and be redistributed as acid rain, which erodes abiotic ecosystem factors like rocks. The carbon cycle describes the movement of carbon as it is recycled and reused throughout the biosphere. Due to human-caused pollution of water, land and air, organisms in the ecosystem are damaged, thereby reducing the amount of carbon released into the atmosphere. If less carbon is released, photosynthesis of plants would also be disrupted because they need carbon dioxide, chlorophyll, water and sunlight....
