What made this Starbucks a great location for me was the fact that it's close to a Cinema City, an In-N-Out Burger, between Canyon and Esperanza high school and a few gymnasiums. . With this knowledge, I assumed that the visiting customers would be diverse in terms of nationality and age. After all, high schoolers should have been enjoying their last few weeks of summer vacation, and many people seem to enjoy an iced coffee after practice. Unfortunately, I was wrong when I started collecting my data. Of the twenty people I observed, 65% were Caucasian, 20% were Hispanic, and 15% were Asian. However, I think it is important to add that during the observation period, the majority of other people I was unable to include in the table were also Caucasian. Guessing the ages, about 55% of the customers were in their early to late 20s, 25% were in their 30s, 15% were in their 40s or older, and finally 5% were under the age of twenty. Of course, this is just a guess, but since he was talking to his mother about funds for books, tuition, and car insurance, so I assumed he was an incoming freshman at university.
