Literature ReviewEducation is an essential ingredient in the development of the individual, but nevertheless it cannot prevail without the effort and pursuit of societal progress. Sex education is a type of education that provides sexual information to children. Formal sex education serves as instruction for the health and well-being of adolescents and young adults (Fatima, 2013). Looking at the status of sex education in society, one observer notes that the trend to define sex education is on a broader scale than before. Sex education is redefined in terms of the emotional and psychological aspects of sex (Kirkendall and Hamilton, 1954). Sex education is a process by which information is transmitted to the group of young adolescents and takes into account all the events that occur during the growth period from childhood to adulthood (Esere, 2008) . Formal sex education, following a curriculum-based plan, is a key strategy for promoting safer sexual behaviors among adolescents (Lindberg & Maddow, 2012). Comprehensive sexuality education is a fundamental part of equipping young children with essential skills that will help them lead healthy family lives. This is why this idea of promoting comprehensive sexuality education is strongly supported by American health professionals (Lindberg et al., 2006). ). The idea of teaching sex education is supported, but the thought process focuses on the values to be taught and attitudes toward teaching sex education (Marsman & Herold, 1986). After conducting surveys of parents of adolescents in the United States, the results showed that the majority of them approved and supported the idea of teaching sex education in public schools (Alexander, 1984). ... training of a sex educator, because it is evident that there is a need to develop systematic training programs for sex education teachers (Carrera, 1971). It is very important to form your own beliefs and prejudices before embarking on teaching sex education. As the teachers had developed their own practical and personal knowledge in their style of teaching sex education and what strategies they would apply. Most teachers indicated that at the beginning, the strategy of presenting factual cognitive knowledge should be implemented. Once information is provided to children at this stage, some teachers stop at this level, while others move on to socio-emotional and relational themes. This is how sex education teachers teach children about this area of study (Timmerman, 2009).
