    Teaching Self-AssessmentThe assessment document is a representation of my current teaching ability and the target areas I will improve. I taught Hooke's Lab Investigation, so I grouped the students into pairs and had them work in their lab stations. Given the laboratory stations installed – in the aisles – I decided to have three groups of students work on each side of the aisles; however, the aisles were narrow and students barely had room to move around. I have not asked students to move to other areas of the classroom to avoid losing focus, but this is something I will be more careful about in the future. I must provide a safe classroom environment that allows students enough space to work. So I will check that I provide the necessary space in future classes. Initially, I thought the proximity would allow adjacent groups to discuss their findings with each other, but even I had difficulty navigating the aisles to reach struggling groups. My lowest score in the assessment document was on the criterion that required me to include Socratic language. invite f...
