Traffic flow modelIntroductionAfter studying the traffic flow model in CEE 310, it interests me. As a result, I am looking for more information about traffic congestion factors and traffic flow simulation model. Traffic flow could be studied by observing traffic phenomena in real traffic situations and understanding traffic phenomena based on the traffic flow system. It is the study of the interaction between drivers, vehicles and infrastructure. Understanding traffic flow patterns can aim to develop a better road network with minimal congestion problems and efficient circulation. Traffic phenomena are multifaceted and depend on the interpretations of many vehicles. Nor do vehicles react simply by following the laws of mechanics. This varies depending on each driver's behavior. Traffic flow theory is defined as “the description of traffic behavior by the application of physics and mathematics” (Gerlough and Huber, 1975). Traffic flow theory interprets the traffic flow variables of speed, throughput, and concentration. The higher density will make traffic unstable and dangerous, and even cause car accidents. The traffic jam density represents an extreme traffic density for which the vehicle speed is also zero in the case. Traffic Flow Models Traffic flow models are developed to reproduce traffic flow characteristics by various modeling methods. It is normally constrained along a one-dimensional path and can be classified into macroscopic, mesoscopic and microscopic models. All models have their own areas of application. There is no wrong or right for each model but certain approaches to the model correspond well or not to the objective of the application (Kuhne, 1993). The microscope...... middle of paper ......
