Community Resources and ReferralsIn this client's case, there are many community resources that can help her with daily life. The National Parent Helpline is available 24 hours a day to provide emotional parenting support. This would be crucial for Precious as she decided to take care of her two children. Safe Horizons also offers support groups in the client's area for survivors of child abuse and incest, which could greatly benefit Precious in her recovery (Child Abuse, 2014). As Precious approaches adulthood, it might benefit her to connect with community sources such as Adult Survivors of Child Abuse (ASCA), which is a self-help program designed for adults survivors of physical, sexual and emotional abuse. ASCA offers web-based community support groups and “Survivor to Thriver” client workbooks..
