Pablo NerudaPablo Neruda was a poet who used his work to educate people about what life was really like, and this choice made him a controversial figure in South America. Like any author, he faced criticism, but it was not negative. He was a great political figure and many people admired him for his wisdom.BIOGRAPHYfali Ricardo Reyes Bausualto was born on July 12, 1904 in Parral, Chile. Less than a month after his birth, his mother Rosa lost her long battle with tuberculosis and died. From early childhood, it seemed that Neruda was destined to be a poet (UXL Biographies). His father did not approve of his poetic interests, so he created a pseudonym that he would use and he chose the name Pablo Neruda (Encyclopedia of World Biography). Neruda was not only a poet, he pursued many other professions during his life. He was a political creature and was loved by many. Neruda has already been appointed president of his native country (Carol). When Neruda was 23, he was finally recognized as a poet and the Chilean government gave him a position in the consular service in the Far East. With his work he has lived in many places. He lived in Burume, Siam, China, Japan and India. Throughout his travels, this was considered a great period of isolation and loneliness for the author. During these periods of solitude, he began to write, which resulted in the book Residencia en Le Tierra, a book of at least fifty poems. Meanwhile, Neruda was offered a generous job. He was asked to be a senator. Neruda's main task was to save as many Chileans as possible, as Spain was in the midst of a civil war (UXL bibliographies). But soon after Neruda accepted this position as senator, he lost it. His experience ended with his prosecution middle of paper......all is not forgotten to this day. He is remembered by his poems and stories. Even though he survived, his stories will live on. Works Cited Anderson, Jon L. "NERUDA, PINOCHET AND THE IRON LADY." Los Angeles Times.
