For the success of any business, there must be effective leadership. It is through good leadership that an organization achieves its objectives. An organization that manages its affairs adequately is also likely to generate high returns. An organization must have a good and effective management team in order to adapt to the constant operational changes in the business environment. Management is therefore the key function in all organizations (Elearn 2007). What management and leadership style do you use and describe why you lead that way. Refer to the advantages and disadvantages of different leadership styles and their effectiveness in business. In business management, different styles are applicable. These styles are applied depending on the organization and management. The trickiest organization to manage is a hotel. A hotel is purely a service provider and therefore requires good management skills. The management style applicable to hotel management should aim to improve good relations between the hotel and customers (Elearn 2007). The most appropriate leadership style to use in hospitality management is transformational leadership. This type of leadership is effective in hotel management because the style redefines the mission and vision of individuals. This therefore makes it possible to renew employee commitment and restructure the system to achieve objectives. This leadership style accommodates mutual uplift and simulation, allowing employees to act as leaders as well. Employees are also motivated and give their best in everything they do. Style gives employees the opportunity to deal directly with customers and ...... middle of paper ...... culture can unite people, when they have the opportunity to communicate and get to know each other better. This opens up new connections, therefore new ideas and greater productivity. Maintaining corporate culture also gives meaning to the company. When a culture is strong and successful, customers tend to be attracted to the company because it is reliable. A strong culture also allows the company to maintain its functioning (Be a Leader.net 2011). Reference ListBe a Leader.net, 2011. The importance of organizational culture.
