With simple induction, I believe that the interpretation or understanding of something depends on the interpreter and their past experiences. Our sensory perception, another way of knowing, can also confuse what we see and what we consider “reality.” The signals we receive from the environment and the world around us are filtered through our senses, which are interpretive. This means that our view of the world is subjective, because we relate to our past experiences when we see, hear, touch, smell and taste. For example, people with sensitive disabilities, such as blind or deaf people, will not see the world the same way we do. A blind person will never be able to see the world in colors, which is reality for us, but for them, a dark world is very realistic. Likewise, a deaf person will not see anything wrong with a silent world. We generate reality from representations of the world and we shape it according to our experiences and perceptions.
