IntroductionAll organizations and businesses, both in profile and profit, carry out their activities by respecting and involving those who work in them to achieve superior results. This is achieved through the involvement of good leadership. According to Uju (2013), leadership is the creation of a vision regarding a defined future state that seeks to involve all members of the organizational setting with influence necessary to achieve the organization's goals. Leadership is defined as a process in which an individual influences others to achieve a goal and guides the organization in a way that makes it more coherent and cohesive. Corporate governance, on the other hand, refers to a way, a fact and an act of controlling, directing and directing the affairs of an organization, company, city or country. It covers the association between different participants in establishing the performance and direction of businesses. According to Carcello (2009), the key players in the corporate governance process are stakeholders, management and the board of directors. Shareholders are the owners of the company and expect to get good returns on their investment and commensurate with the investment risk. Good governance is also associated with financial reporting and the external auditor therefore plays a vital role in the governance function. This article evaluates the impact of organizational leadership on effective organizational governance.
