Some are no longer in agreement as to whether this is such a good thing, since the detention center is not even located on US territory. It is located a few kilometers from the coast, in a place where OUR center should not be: Cuba. One of the questions raised is whether the detention of these people is legal, since the detention center is not located in the United States. There is also the policy that we detain prisoners without any charges. Do we have a nation authorized to do this? Since the center does not fall under our jurisdiction. Early in the war in Afghanistan, the Bush administration detained suspected al-Qaeda and Taliban fighters without legally charging them with any acts. (Tung 456) I'm not even sure if this is right, even if the person under suspicion acts badly. Since there are many gray areas, we can and cannot be legally certain. 2009...
