  • Essay / The Case for IVF - 1756

Introduction: There are a large number of questions to deliberate when considering IVF – many of them questions of ethics, legality and psychosocial issues . We studied the case of Yvonne and Matthew, a couple who struggled to conceive for 5 years and then sought IVF treatment. After two unsuccessful treatment cycles, the couple separated. Yvonne intends to continue IVF with the remaining frozen embryos. Matthew, however, disagrees and is considering his legal options on the matter. The different facets of this case are discussed below. Health and Society: Many factors predict Yvonne and Matthew's health behaviors in this case.
