SIX SIGMAIn 1986, Six Sigma began as a statistical method to reduce variations in electronic manufacturing processes developed by Motorola. Nowadays, Six Sigma is used by many industrial sectors as an overall business performance all over the world. By using Six Sigma, the causes of detections and errors in manufacturing and business processes can be identified and then removed. Six Sigma is a customer-focused change strategy which is a business strategy that helps the company improve in terms of business performance. There is a methodology involved that allows the company to systematically improve processes. Businesses are in business for two reasons: to satisfy the customer and to make money. Six Sigma essentially involves quality measurement that strives for perfection. Six Sigma is a restricted, information-driven methodology and system for eliminating defects in any procedure, from manufacturing to transaction and from products to service. Six Sigma emphasizes that continuous efforts to achieve stable and predictable process results are of vital importance to the business. Apart from this, the characteristics of manufacturing and business processes can be measured, analyzed, improved and controlled. Process improvement, process design or redesign, and process management are the three basic elements of Six Sigma. Six Sigma helps an organization focus on understanding and managing customer requirements, meeting those requirements by aligning key activities, minimizing variations in those processes using rigorous data analysis, and driving rapid improvement and sustainable business processes. The company will be successful by implementing Six Sigma because of the entire Six Sigma methodology. All the critical factors can be found and then controlled and also improved. In Six Sigma, the entire maintenance program has been changed in order to achieve the company's goal and meet the customer's requirements.
