He is the third of four brothers and sisters; he has two older brothers named Christian and Patrick, as well as a younger brother named Shea. During college, Thomas developed a keen interest in singing and acting; he often appeared in several acting and singing competitions organized by his school. He then graduated from the University of Florida, where he earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering in 2011.
