The solution to getting rid of the common core would not be cheap. This would require more teachers and more resources. The facts are that every child has different learning skills and different learning paces. There should be specific goals for each class. Classes need to be smaller and students need to be surrounded by children who learn like them. The teacher must also be able to take his time to teach a subject. For some students, it is difficult to understand things. With Common Core, there is no room to teach children only explanations and homework. Everything has to be taught within a certain time and there are goals to achieve at the end of the year. While it is essential that there are targets to achieve, we need to think about how many targets per year and which targets are actually needed. Most of the things taught in school are not taught to students in the real world. We only teach it to get to the next level. I also propose that standardized tests should all be eliminated. I think if we offer this to the community, the taxpayer would be bored. There are 17,370 students in Catawba County (“Wikipedia”).
