A Greek philosopher, Heraclitus, once said: “A man's character is his destiny. »Everyone has flaws. Some may be more serious than others. For example, some people may have a gaming addiction, while others don't remember to turn off the lights. People's flaws come back to haunt them after a while. The tragedy of Macbeth is a perfect example. William James, the author of Principles of Psychology, wrote: “We direct our own destiny, good or bad, never to be undone. » Therefore, in Macbeth, whether they were good or bad, it did not matter because their flaws ultimately led to their downfall. Many characters die because of their flaws. However, not all characters deserved their fate. Some characters have a minor flaw, like Duncan, that shouldn't have led to their demise. Other characters have major flaws, which will lead to their death anyway. The first Thane of Cawdor betrayed his king, Duncan, by attempting to lead a revolution against England. The Thane wanted the throne of England for himself and was therefore murdered by Macbeth. He was greedy and wanted more power and that is what led to his demise. According to Ross, he was a “disloyal traitor.” His murder was not discouraging because the Thane of Cawdor deserved his fate. He was fighting a battle in which many people lost their lives, due to greed, and he deserved to die for it. If you pledge allegiance to someone or something, that person trusts you and believes in you for their safety and the safety of others. Breaking that trust is betrayal, and at the time Macbeth was written, betrayal was tantamount to death. That's why he was killed and that's why he deserved it. Banquo, on the other hand, is more interesting than any of the other characters because he has killed so many people. Every character who died in Macbeth had a fatal flaw, because everyone has flaws. Some defects are more serious than others. People's flaws come back to haunt them after a while. The first Thane of Cawdor was a traitor. Duncan was too confident. Banquo did nothing about the knowledge he possessed. Lady Macbeth helped plan Duncan's murder. Last but not least, Macbeth destroyed the natural order and harmony of nature. Not every character who died deserved to die simply because of their flaws. Duncan shouldn't have been punished for trusting someone and Banquo would have said something, but he was waiting for the right moment or physical evidence. If Macbeth had not been so ambitious, none of the problems he encountered would have been. Ultimately, their flaws were the cause of their demise.
