This book discusses how people used screen technology in the past, then compares it to the present, and then predicts what will happen in the future if the trend of the present continues. He explains that currently, children are more attracted to popular culture and have become more ignorant of the world due to the screens in which they are buried. Children are heavily influenced by media and are constantly glued to their screens for their thirst for entertainment. He also noted that in recent years, children's screen time has also increased and time spent outdoors has decreased. He also mentions that the use of social media is exhausting for an individual who needs to acquire social status and who constantly compares himself to others, which causes him to lose self-esteem. This is a discussion about a child's search behavior online and it goes on to talk about the changing nature of children on how they obtain information. They point out that in the past, children relied on adults to answer their questions, but now they use the Internet to retrieve information. Given this, search engines, such as Google, must collect data on their search behaviors in order to adapt them and constantly update their interface for more efficient use. He goes on to talk about how businesses still revolve around behavior.
