Essay / We Are Seven Ballards Lyric A poem by Williams...
Wordsworth “We Are Seven” Ballards LyricsWordsworth “We Are Seven” Ballard Lyric was written in 1978 when he was 28 years old. The poem was filled with natural and supernatural events. “A simple child, who inspires with lightness and feels life in every limb, describing the little girl full of life. The speaker asked the little girl: what should she know about death? The poem begins with the speaker asking a child what he knows about death. Then he meets an eight-year-old girl. The little girl with thick, curly hair seemed to make the speaker happy. The description of the little girl “rustic and woody air” gives the reader the image of a harsh country air. It is worth using natural and supernatural meanings in “we are seven”. The little girl was unable to understand death by repeatedly including the two deceased siblings. The little girl has a strong imagination and nature prevents her from understanding the difference between her living and dead siblings. The little girl could explain where her other siblings were but she couldn't tell the living from the dead. She told the speaker that two siblings were at sea, two others were buried in the cemetery and one was under the cemetery tree. The child said that the spirits of two siblings who died at sea are in heaven. Worth used a supernatural being to explain that the siblings' spirits are in heaven. The natural aspect concerns the only brother lying under the cemetery tree. The speaker still questions the number of siblings the child has, she insists that "there are seven of us."
