There are many careers available, but criminal justice seems to be the most adventurous and offers many different opportunities to an individual. The history of criminal justice evolves through cruelty, rebellion, discrimination, schemes, etc. The practice of criminal justice has been shaped by many historical events and can change at any time. The foundations of our criminal justice system began in England and were eventually changed due to the amendment of English law to colonial law in our country (highered.mcgraw). The cause of this amendment was due to the colonist's separation from England and the fact that he no longer needed to survive the harsh conditions of the new world. These events led the settlers to engage in other activities that constituted criminal acts that gave rise to American criminal justice practices. Today, criminal justice has evolved into many different departments such as the police, sheriff, US Marshall, FBI, CIA, SWAT, DEA, and ATF. All of these elements have one main goal: to protect our society from any danger that would attempt to harm our community. Criminal justice was established in England in 27 BC in Roman cities. Criminal Justice began with just five men wanting to help keep their community safe. It has grown nicely over the years. Criminal justice now requires an individual to be in the middle of paper...... or society to ensure the safety of people in the community.
