For most people, the year has just started and activities are still a little low-key, especially since we are just back from the holiday season. But before the end of January, we would be back in the middle of the work routine, family routine, and/or home routine. And then anxiety sets in; but anxiety is a good thing. Is anxiety a good thing? Yes, anxiety is good for us as humans because it creates balance in our system. It is a signal for us to act when we need to; that is, anxiety is created in the human brain, prompting us to take action to correct a perceived wrong or to achieve the best results. If we are not anxious, we may not act in our own best interests. It's amazing to know that being anxious is a good thing. But as the saying goes, “too much of anything is bad,” anxiety can easily become a problem. In this case, anxiety becomes a problem when it results in stress. Being anxious for a prolonged period of time on an ongoing basis creates stress, and stress in overdose is bad for health and well-being. You know you've gone from just being anxious to stressed when: you start having panic attacks, you become sad or depressed, you start feeling rushed and rushed, you become easily irritable and moody, you have difficulty to concentrate and make decisions, you feel overwhelmed, you eat, drink and smoke excessively or abuse drugs. For other people, it results in physical symptoms such as headaches, stomach cramps, chest pain, and allergic reactions such as rash, pimples, etc. Managing stress: you are in control of the situation. about the individual, the type of friends we have and the type of work we do. Reduce your intake of coffee, soft drinks, chocolate and sugary snacks and you will feel more relaxed. • Practice sleeping well. Sleep nourishes your mind and body. You become easily stressed when you are tired. There's nothing cool about being stressed. Don't let yourself get to that position where you feel stuck and upset. Here's what stress does to you: increases the inability to carry out your daily activities effectively, weakens your immune system and increases health problems and makes you more prone to coronary heart disease, impairs your judgment and decreases your sense of well-being and satisfaction in life. We don't have superhumans, everyone was created differently. Knowing how to position yourself, adapt and know what is best for you makes the difference. When you understand this, you will enjoy life without stress.
