The meaning of labor specialization is the breaking down of large jobs into smaller components and the delegation of different parts to individual workers. It can therefore sometimes also be called division of labor. This refers to the extent to which an organization divides individual tasks into separate jobs. It allows a manager to take complex tasks and break them down into smaller, more specific tasks that each worker can accomplish.
