Well, Morrie Schwartz does exactly what he loves, he teaches. Mitch Albom uses Morrie Schwartz's aphorisms in Tuesdays With Morrie to reveal the theme of life lessons. It teaches how to maintain relationships, live your life and follow your dreams. It is important to maintain relationships throughout your life. Throughout the book, we watch Mitch's relationship with Morrie evolve. At the beginning we see that Mitch and Morrie are very close, Morrie is Mitch's favorite teacher. He even gives Morrie a gift at graduation and promises to stay in touch. Unfortunately, Mitch loses this relationship once he begins his career and life. When Mitch discovers that Morrie is ill, he tries to regain his relationship with Morrie. Fortunately, Mitch realized early on in Morrie's illness how important Morrie and their relationship were.
