But I gradually got used to it again, and now I cycle regularly as before the accident. If I had been too scared to get back on my bike, I would still be walking to class every day, and my bike would be laughing at me every time I passed the rack outside my dorm. But I gained enough confidence to face my fear and conquered it again. It was interesting how long it took me to get over my “shell shock” and how weird it was to start riding again.
