The United States of America has one of the most interesting and controversial sociopolitical histories in the world. The reason for this may have to do with the idea that the region quickly gained independence, long before other states even began fighting for their freedom (Bindas 200). The political realm in the United States has been shaped and reshaped by various factors such as economic, social, and cultural differences among Americans. The political sphere has been shaped and/or influenced by the artistic ideas and views of different artists in the region through various art forms. Music is one of the artistic tools used by artists to educate or influence residents to vote for or against political candidates. . The history of music as a genre dates back even to pre-slavery times in America. One of the major artists whose influence cannot be brushed aside is Joe Hill. One of his masterpieces was "The Preacher and the Slave" from 1911. Joe Hill traveled through many states, not only in the United States but in other regions, in an effort to convey the message contained in this article. The song urges all workers to stand up, work side by side and fight for their own freedom. Other influential Hill songs include "The Tramp", "There is Power in the Union", among others. These plays had a fundamental influence in political history across America (Hayes 103). “Bread and Roses” by James Oppenheim is another play that has had some influence on American politics. Caroline Kohlsaat also contributed significantly to the conception of the music. The item gained popularity and popularity when it was sung during a textile strike held in St Lawrence, Massachusetts.
