Religion, “a part of the human experience that has to do with a god or gods, a higher power, or the ultimate values of life” (Cason & Tillman 6- 7), is one of the most controversial and interesting topics for humanity. It has been around for as long as anyone can remember and they have differences and similarities in their founders, beliefs and history. Religion served to give a kind of meaning to life and everything around it. In modern society, some religions have grown and grown significantly. These major religions have been classified as world religions. Furthermore, these world religions have been divided into two categories known as Eastern religion and Western religion. Eastern religions originated in the east of the Earth and countries such as China, Japan and India. Eastern religions have different histories, some having a founder like Buddha in Buddhism and others without a founder like Shintoism. Most Eastern religions have similar belief systems that must be applied to their way of life. According to the authors of World Religions, “these religions claim to live in harmony with nature and seek a balance between the spiritual world and reality.” In addition to balance and harmony, these religions also share the belief in the use of meditation, treating nature as sacred and, above all, a polytheistic universe. As Eastern religions grew and developed throughout history, their beliefs and cultures began to mix and mingle. with the others. This created tolerance and acceptance between religions. Hinduism is a good example of this because it accepts any belief with a different philosophy on how to achieve salvation, as long as it does not deviate from the core beliefs.
