The following essay aims to analyze in depth a computerized accounting system and its aspects such as its history, what technologies are based on and how it has developed since its beginnings. Other aspects such as the current state of the system and interactions with other systems as well as the future of the system will also be discussed in this article.1. The history of the system. Accounting itself is a system that people have used for thousands of years, the system records financial information about a person or business, businesses use it to be able to keep and track their accounts financial and other information securely and efficiently. (Brooks, 2012) Thousands of years ago, this information was carved into rocks, books, and other ways, but it was very difficult to keep records and access the accounts as the system becomes complex. Before, people had to search for financial documents in the rooms or places where they stored that information, which was time consuming and not efficient. (Bellis, 2013)Nowadays, with the implementation of new emerging technologies, the way businesses maintain this financial information has become computerized. Today, businesses are using computers with computerized accounting systems to do many more new activities than they could do in the past. Businesses can access financial information from different departments in the organization, access information through computers, and find financial data very quickly, which is more efficient.
