Graduates from the Philippines may now have a better chance of being competitive in the international job market. Promotion and other qualifications are based on training and the addition of another year of study is a privilege. And we must not forget that grades 11 and 12 are government subsidized (free). The chances of economic growth in a broader K-12 perspective inspire a lower poverty rate for the country. Changing the system we are used to is difficult, believing in a new ideology and taking on the idea of another year can feel like a heavy burden. You need to know to create a sustainable environment/economy. We must know the challenges around us. The economy of a nation determines the poverty and social being of its citizens. The K-12 effect is indeed a long-term process. But what else can we do, other than we have always known how to wait for progress. We must remember that answering the same question with the same solution is less likely to be successful than answering questions using different strategies. From K-12, it supports economic growth.
